Do you know what makes people engage with a product? And are you ready to help us integrate our customers’ needs and desires right into our product development design and marketing process?
“Here you’ll fill an important role as you help us address the needs for a consumer-centric approach to design and product and marketing development, implement new strategies and help build a brand-new division in ECCO from the ground up” explains Consumer Innovation Manager Mike Keisman.
Explore the consumers’ behavior and wishes and create insights
At our Copenhagen office, you will join our Global Marketing Organisation as part of our newly established Consumer Insights team. Here, you and a colleague will work together to ensure that consumer-driven insights and analyses are brought into every stage of our product development, from design to collection building to marketing.
Your key responsibilities will be divided into running research projects, ranging from qualitative behavioral surveys, product concept & claims testing, quantitative focus groups & workshops, and identifying & qualifying new innovation opportunities to identifying key consumer insights & trends within the competitive footwear landscape.
Curious about the key stakeholders? Well, working with us, we want you to have every opportunity to put your best foot (and shoe) forward. As such, we will be happy to have you present your own findings through creative storytelling to senior leaders within our marketing, design and product development departments and many more – bringing you as close to decision-making for new product development and marketing concepts as possible.
Pursuing a better understanding of our current, lapsed and future consumers, you will participate in the development of new products and marketing concepts and provide valuable consumer insights at every stage of the process. In short, it is up to you to:
- Scoping of primary research
- Manage global qualitative research projects and conduct research analyses
- Run qualitative behavioral interviews – this includes taking action to meet the consumers in our stores
- Host quantitative focus groups and workshops to identify key consumer insights and trends within the competitive footwear landscape
- Present findings to key stakeholders within the ECCO organisation
- Conduct macro trend & consumer analysis
The position will require you to occasionally travel to ECCO stores to meet the consumers as well as to visit our HQ in Tønder.
Experienced researcher and storyteller
You are the right fit for this position if you can think beyond the data to deliver actionable and insightful findings. Also, you master the art of storytelling, which enables you to present these findings to key stakeholders in a simple and impactful way.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Bring a university degree in Communications, Business or a related field
- Have 4+ years of experience, ideally from a research company or from a similar role, preferably within a retail, FMCG or consumer company
- Have the ability to plan, scope and lead research projects/workstreams and have experience cooperating with research agencies and data panel providers
- Communicate effortlessly in English – if you speak German or Chinese, this is a bonus but not a requirement
Join a great international work environment and make new discoveries
Our approach to this area is new, and you will get to play a key role in this increased consumer-centric approach to our product development and marketing. What is more, is that you will become part of an international organisation and team where you gain a great deal of freedom to make your mark on this area. You will also get to know our consumers better than anyone else, be the first to make new discoveries and see them implemented and come to life.
Are you ready for your next challenge?
We will invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply.
